How to Vote in New York

There are three ways to cast your ballot in New York State.

Early Voting

Vote before Primary Day at an early voting site. Early voting runs June 13th – June 21st.

Absentee / Vote by Mail

Request an absentee ballot and vote from home. The BOE must receive your application by June 13th.

Primary Day

Vote at your assigned polling location on Primary Day, June 23rd.

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be 18 years old by Election Day
  • Be a resident of New York State and your county/city
  • Not be currently incarcerated for a felony conviction
