Welcome to 2026 in Troy! The holidays may be over, but there is still much work to be done in our fair city.
My colleagues and I were sworn in to office on Dec 30th by the Honorable Judge Pallozzi. It was both exciting and emotional to stand in front of so many Trojans, community members, friends, and family to commit to upholding the Constitution and doing my very best for Troy!
Now the real work begins -
I first want to express my sadness over the fire that occurred at Unity House's Kathryn Allen building on 102nd St this morning. Luckily no one was injured, but the building is unusable. In speaking to Unity House representatives, they are looking for a temporary space and the appropriate technology to continue serving the community, but they will need help. If you are able, you can donate to Unity House.
As a planner who prefers to have all important things on the calendar ahead of time, I wanted to share some dates and events to know about in the coming month. Please note this list is not exhaustive and that items may be confirmed after this email is sent. Please let me know if there is an organization or meeting that is missing so I can reach out.
